This Stereometer Bar makes it possible to measure the height of all three-dimensional objects seen in the stereo pairs with the Topcon® Model 3 Mirror Stereoscope, by finding the parallactic difference after which the required height difference is found by simple calculation or by reference to a special nomogram. The Stereometer has an effective measuring range of 40 mm and minimum drum graduation of 0.05 mm, while inferred readings of 0.01 mm are also possible, with experience. Three stereomarks (o and • and +) are engraved on the Stereometer glass plate and either mark can be used as suits the landmark being used. |
