The TDS ReconX delivers maximum performance and reliability in a lightweight, rugged design that’s easy to carry. The waterproof ReconX weighs just 17 ounces and exceeds military specifications for drop, vibration and both high- and low-temperature operation. Standard software includes Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, Outlook Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Calendar, Calculator, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Pictures and Videos, Microsoft ActiveSync, Microsoft Outlook 2002, Online Help, and Terminal services client. The ReconX comes complete with a rechargeable PowerBoot Module™, a standard CF-Cap, AC charger, USB data cable, CD-ROM, a hand strap, 2 stylus pens, 10 screen protectors, and a user’s guide. The Recon 400X also features built-in Bluetooth® capability.
TDS ReconX with Survey Standard
Pre-loaded with the TDS Survey GX software. It permits data to be received directly from your surveying instruments, eliminating the chance of error encountered with manual data input. Other functions allow you to store backsight computations/records, off-center shots, survey notes, and reciprocal zenith traverses. Stake reference points, stake coordinates, and more can easily be calculated. You can even set your Recon to automatically prompt for rod heights and heights of instruments, develop descriptor code files, and correct collimations. Raw data, cut sheet, point list, and descriptor files may also be transferred to a desktop PC.

TDS ReconX with Survey Pro
Pro Pre-loaded with TDS Survey Pro software which allows you to do everything the TDS ReconX with Survey Standard does plus a lot more! You can radially stakeout offsets (by station and offset) or slope stakes from horizontal and vertical alignments, compute stations and offsets, calculate coordinates with each topo or traverse shot, and store building pad layouts and sun shot routines. Set-up functions include a time stamp for raw data, pop-up descriptor tables, radial sideshots, and hot keys to jump from screen to screen. Like the TDS ReconX with Survey Standard, it also communicates with electronic levels and total stations.
