Meet the Leica Builder Family Built For Construction
Easily affordable , tough total stations, built specially for site work. Simple routines for standard building and construction tasks. With the Leica Builder, Leica Geosystems is aiming at experts in the building sector who have shied away from using professional measuring instruments. In the design priority of making theodolite as easy-to-us as possible, the advantages and the added value of Leica Builder become evident: its uniquely easy-to-operate control concept and the outstanding product performance accelerates common construction site jobs, e.g. layout or survey.
The Builder R100 or R200 determines a target with electronic laser distance measurement. In combination with the angle measurement, it is possible to determine the position of a point to a line and even the height of the point to a reference point with a single measurement.
In the design priority of making the theodolite as easy-to-use as possible, the advantages and the added value of the Leica Builder become evident: its uniquely easy-to-operate control concept and the outstanding product performance accelerates common construction site jobs, e.g. layout or plumbing. The unique combination of a red laser and a flat prism allows the Builder R to measure distances up to 830’ (250 m), or 265’ (80 m) reflectorless. The Builder R does not require line-of-sight or known point set-ups. Set-up points can be freely chosen to keep construction in sight. Simply set up and level the Builder. Call up the ‘layout’ function, enter the value and point the instrument towards the target. Builder R100 Package includes: Theodolite with EDM, laser plummet, 1 keyboard, user manual, tribrach, battery adapter including 6 AA batteries, flat prisma, reflector pole and container.

Angle Measurements Standard deviation ISO 17123-4: R100, 9" (directional deviation 3 mm + 2 ppm at 70 m); R200, 6" (directional deviation 3 mm + 2 ppm at 105 m). Compensator, 2-axis electronic. Operating range, +/-4’ . Display: Angle display, up to 1" (1mgon). Screen/keypad, 160 x 280 pixels or alpha numeric 8 x 31 characters, both sides optionally. Distance Measurements: Range, 80 m on Kodak Gray Card 250 m on Leica flat prism. Time for a measure, <2 s typical on flat prism. Weight: incl. battery and tripod 4,3 kg (Builder T) to 5 kg (Builder R/RM). Power Pack: Types of batteries, NiMH Camcorder types or 6 AA-batteries. Laser Plummet : Precision, 1.5 mm at 1.5 m.
