Professional-level timber cruise program.
T Cruise easily processes plot, point, double point, cumulative tally inventories, and timber trespass from stratified or non-stratified tracts. Tree volumes are calculated from one of 100 tree profile functions built into the program. Simply choose the profile functions which best match each species being examined. Cruise data can be entered from tally sheets using the built-in spreadsheet interface or imported from an ASCII text file. Creating cruise templates is simple using the Microsoft® Windows interface’s drop-down menus. The same template can be used for as many tracts as needed. T Cruise also allows you to establish cruise parameters with all of the necessary plot information on one screen. After the templates are created, the initial setup is in place for differing cruise conditions, timber types, and size classes. Changes can be made to cruise templates as needed if timber prices or merchandising specifications change. T Cruise can generate a compact executive summary which shows timber volumes, values, sampling errors, and estimated required sample size by product and species group. You can also obtain a detailed accounting by DBH class. T Cruise allows species groups to be combined into a single group to provide bottom line volumes, values, sampling errors, and estimated required sample sizes by product and in the aggregate. The five defined product groups in the timber cruise program are pulpwood, chip and saw (or tie timber), peeler, sawlog, and cull. T Cruise reports in these volume units: cubic feet inside and outside bark, cords, green tons, cunits, Doyle Mbf, Scribner Mfb, and International 1/4" Mbf. Also features built-in growth projection (backwards and forwards) and built-in profile equations. To collect T Cruise data using a pocket-sized Windows CE-powered PC, use T Cruise for Windows CE.
